During your stay with us, be sure to take in the Borough’s variety of restaurants, antique and gift shops, and galleries – all within walking distance from our beautiful Stonington Connecticut Inn. The tasteful décor of The Inn’s 18 individually decorated rooms give an inviting atmosphere with Anichini linens, private balconies and views of the village and Fisher’s Island Sound. Nearly every room has a fireplace and an oversized bathroom with natural stone tiles that lend an Italian ambiance. Friendly, professional staff are available at all hours. The Inn serves a Continental Style Breakfast which includes freshly baked treats, fruit, yogurt, cereals, coffee, tea and juice. Every evening, the Inn hosts a complimentary wine and cheese reception served in an elegant parlor overlooking the water. The Inn is located in the heart of Stonington Borough, an early American village that blends history with modern-day luxury. Untouched by commercialism, the village is one of a handful of New England harbor side towns that has retained its 17th and 18th century charm. The home of Connecticut’s last surviving fishing fleet, Stonington lobstermen, fishermen, and yachtsmen can be seen sailing by The Inn at Stonington at all hours of the day. Most recently, Stonington Borough and the Inn were used as the backdrop for the Meryl Streep, Tommy Lee Jones’s movie “Hope Springs”. The Inn at Stonington is indisputably one of the most romantic inns in ct.
